    Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks(:p)

    John,
    Anything thats out there is probably in the same condition as the one you have. I'm assuming here that you have an actual tank that is in poor condition?
    If your pocket can afford it Renault will probably still stock it. I just checked the PR1018 (1982 - 1986) but cross checking shows that the part numbers have been changed. So I checked the later C.R.930 that most of the world does not know about because it covers the 18 up to 1992. Yes 1992! Therefore it might be worth a chance to shoot the numbers through the Renault stores and see what comes back. Its going to be one of the following:
    7702 094 047
    7702 094 568
    7700 634 574 +
    7702 054 838
    7702 093 509
    7702 094 567

    + = superceeded.
    Failing that you could approach a fabrication shop and get a nice stainless unit made up to spec. The tank is not special and a good shape for some enthusiast to copy. All your gauge fittings / vent pipes can be transferred easily.

    You can also try stuff like this:

    http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8232&frostProductName=Fuel+Tank+Sealer+(US+Quart%2C+946ml)++&catID=25&subCatID=&FrostCat=Tanks&FrostSubcat=

    Mind you, Frost are expensive and their shipping to Ireland ain't cheap. Maybe there's an alternative available locally?

    I believe John told me that the tank on the Turbo has a particular shape and is unique to that model. Correct me if i'm wrong :D

    I have now been told that there is no difference between UK/EIRE spec petrol and diesel tanks by a person in the know;). Sorted--well I just have to buy one now.

    Thanks B.
