    Hi guys,
Im Irish, 27 years old. Just been offered a job in Oman.
Dont know a whole lot about the place only from what ive read in
Wikipedia it looks pretty much the same as the rest of the arabian
peninsula (with the exception of the more liberal UAE.)
Has anyone here lived/worked there and what can you tell me about it.
Dont mind anyone just having a bit of natter about their experiences there.
    Thanks a lot, greatly appreciated.
    :)

Ive never been there but a mate has, twice. She raves on about it alot. Obviously you're not going to be going there expecting piss ups all over the shop, it is quite a conservative place ( though its no Saudi Arabia).

My mate said the scuba diving there is world class and they also have turtles nesting on the beaches at certain times of the year too.

Go for it I'd say, its only a flight home if you don't like it but a lifetime of regrets if you don't try it.

Neither travel or holiday related, so I'll ship this over to Living Abroad :)
