Is there a max distance that a standard yellow size gas bottle can be placed from a 6 burner hob ?

I never heard of one, have you asked a plumber. Your only asking you can tell s/he you are seting it up for them to do the job.

Hope you have a good supply of bottles with 6 burners. I guessing the middle one is the wok burner which eats the gas :D

I don't think there is a minimum or maximum but the max length of rubber gas hose is 2 metres ( any longer and steel pipe has to be used)
