Punchestown Tipping Competition

    Hi all,

A guy I work with set up a new site so that we could run our in-house Cheltenham tipping competitions in an automated way. It worked great for Cheltenham '09, so he's allowing me to pimp it out to boards.ie folk (and for any of you who post at letsbet, please feel free to publicise) who may be interested in the Punchestown competition.

The concept is that you register, pay a €5 entry fee through PayPal (all money goes into the prize pool afaik), and each day, you have 100 points to bet with. The bets apply to the first 4 races each day, and you must use the 100 points every day and you must bet in each race every day. How you spread the 100 points is up to you, but only single bets (win, e/w or place) are allowed. The leaderboard will be updated after each race. All bets for the day must be placed no later than 15 mins before the first race (so, 3:30pm) each day. Clarification can be found on the website...

If you are interested, register at http://www.sportinggalaxy.com/index.php

Mods: I am purely advertising this in the interests of a way for enthusiastic tippers to have the last laugh. I have no affiliation to the website, and it is not a profit-making initiative. I just reckon it'd be good to have a competitive competition, and some of the 'experts' in this forum can either enhance their reputation, or prove what we already know but were afraid to say :D

I might well give this a go, I do okay in the Guardian weekly comp - missed winning by a nose last week.

    Update:

The first 4 races apply on Day 1, but on other days, the best 4 races will be selected (you will know this anyway from the webpage as dropdown menus are used).
