I have noticed recently that alot of my files that I copy over to my external harddrive are corrupt.
I check to see if the files are ok via crc. When I copy files over to my external hard drive, and crc check them they are corrupt.
I am wondering what would cause this?

    Yes, it is formated ntfs.
The files are mainly video and .iso files that have corrput crc values.
It's an old hard drive a 20gb 1.8". I'm thinking the hard drive has bad sectors etc. Any programs to repair hard drive errors?

You might find seagate, powermax or samsung diagnostic and repair tools on the web,, or contact the vendor for your hdd. usually run from a floppy and find and repair bad sectors. or the disk is fked and bin it.
