Definitely looks like a good price.. it's €159 in Littlewoods. Any coffee fans know if these are worth getting?

I like the idea of these things but the pods can be quite expensive on most of these machines.

Sorry to hijack but what is the difference between this and Nespresso?

You can get 50 euro off selected Nespresso machines in BT at the moment bringing the cheapest one down to just 99 euro.

Also - does anybody know if the coffee pods are interchangeable between the different makes ? Or must you but specific pods for each manufacturer ?

We got one of those ages ago for the office.

Be warned, the coffee pods for it are next to impossible to find here.

Personally, I didn't like the taste of the coffee from it, but everyone else thought it was ok.

I don't think these have been officially released in Ireland, hence hard to find pods. Pods are different to nespresso. Supposed to be OK tho.

The Nespresso pods are readily available on ebay for around .50c each.

Don't know about this model though.

If you like good coffee you'll probably hate these machines.

If you have a read through the Coffee & Tea forum it's generally accepted these machines are a compromise on quality. (but then there's some real coffee enthusiasts there!)

You can try before you buy at department stores like Brown Thomas to get an idea of the quality.

I stayed in a hotel recently with a Nespresso machine in the room and wasn't overly impressed.

You'd have to look at the total cost of ownership, and the availability of pods - although cheaper than a Gaggia, Grinder and fresh beans ;)

80 euro is cheap, or expensive depending on what way you look at it, I think you'd have to try before you buy any of those machines - not sure I'd take a punt though.
