    Rip

people sometimes forget he was captain in 48 not kyle!

Heard a suggestion on the radio for a minutes silence at the match on Saturday, think it would be an incredibly fitting gesture for a great Irish rugby player.

Go Ndeanadh dia trocaire air a anam.

I think thats a fantastic Idea, and it might put a bit of perspective on the day for a lot of folk badly in need of it.

I would be surprised if that didn't happen tbh.

There should definitely be a minute silence. At least he got to see the Grand Slam won again before he died.

RIP to a legend, never seen him play surprisingly enough but to hear him speak about the game was enough. The least the IRFU and ERC could do is give this legend a minutes silence at this huge game.

Especially in our grand slam winning year too

    RIP

I only heard about him recently since they brought him on the airwaves to comment on the recent 6 Nations. It's nice that he got to see one more Grand Slam before he passed away.

Like the other legends of that team, Karl Mullen was delighted to hand over to the Grand Slam team of 2009. A true gentleman and an ambassador for the sport.

    May he rest in peace.

Didn't hear it until Tuesday. I'm just glad he didn't pass away wondering if Ireland were going to be perennial losers. Condolences to his family, friends and teammates.
