done up a civic about a year ago very easy to do up and easy to get parts for aswell both new and second hand.

Depends on what you want. all the obvious stuff has been done. IMO there's no point in having as modified 206 or Civic as everybody does the same modifications to them.

Not necessarily! I had a 206 and there wasnt anyting else like it about! Instead of big stupid fibregalss bodykits, i kept things simple with a spoiler, lowering and a set of wheels that you wouldnt expect to see on one! Ur wheels will make the car!
Civics on the other hand are quite common and everybody does more or less the same thing to dem! Good going car though, can be quite nippy too!

being subtle is always the best way when modifying a car imo

I think a MK2 Seat Leon, because it's rare enough and looks great without any mods imo

But the only difference in them is the front bumper and alloys (and engine, obviously!) but I think even a stock Seat Leon is very good looking car.

golfs ftw! iv a few subtle mods on my car and its a real eye catcher

Maybe go for something a bit retro. Ford Escorts 3 door models,

maybe get a 1.3 if you want low insurance. Dont see too many of them

on the roads. 90's model like the xr3's. It'd be something different.

Mk4 golf, if done right can be a real head turner and once it doesnt have after market body kits. A nice set of bbs alloys, lowered and a anniversary kit.

An old Mini with a vtec engine! Horah!

Nissan Pulsar VZR. You'll have both performance and looks. Plus, the all important rarity (compared to it's main competitors anyway) value. There's way too many Hondas around, be different!

I second that. Can be a subtle car that's a very nice drive.

    Other strange options

    Pulsar GTIR
    Punto GT
    Renault 5
    Peugeot 205
    106GTI
    mazda 323 turbo
    micra st / micra turbo

With all due respect, it looks like a Sunny with a bodykit. there's no doubting the performance end of it, but it's not a looker.

They're a hell of a lot better looking than Civics, Saxos etc. anyway.:)

The VZR's are no doubt a cool car but colms right they're fugly. Ive seen very few that would make me stop and have a second look. That being said they're something different to the norm.

If I was ever to mod a civic it would have to be an extremely JDM look, something non tacky. And realistically still isnt seen extremely regularly in this country.

EF civics are absolutely mint to mod, a nice clean black one, the original red pinstripe, smallish black alloys, decked. SiR/teg R engine. Mint

projectgtr's civic is probably the nicest I've seen, really shows what can be done with a bit of effort and TLC.

    minedone.jpg

If you can get it to look anything like that you're in business

    Like this?
Very nice sounding car, that head unit alone would probably cost around €500 so i would say €3,900 isnt a bad price for an '01
I only drove a 1.2 saxo and to be fare was nippy enough, the 1.6 VTS 16v must be a rocket

Edit: just googled it 0-60 ~7.5 seconds

and could look like this carzone-specials-citroen-saxo-text_1.jpg

btw- thats not my car, nor has it anything to do with me. I simply looked it up on carzone and it was actually the only saxo vts

Thats rotten in my opinion, the Saxo looks much better than that with the standard VTS bodystyling

Golf are great, I like te Leon and always thought the 206 was gorgeous, stay away from old civics though, they're so past it it's not funny now.

I'd agree on the Golf's. Although I am such a Golf fanboy it's not funny. If I was in the market I'd be going for a Mk4 Anni in electric blue.

Or if you really want to have some fun buy a Mk2 GTI and spend as much as you can on engine mods, the 16v can handle being turboed and it'll push around 180bhp. Doesn't sound much but it is in a car that weighs 950kg

They only came in three colours (Silver - Black - Red).

    +1 on the Golfs, though.
