Did you find out why the engine management light came on in the first place?

Any decent independent will have the equipment to do it (and probably know more about it than a main dealer).

As Bazz says, the reason needs sort too.

its the engine management light. and to be honest there wasnt much wrong when it came on, or didnt seem to be. the mechanic said he felt it was down on power so he changed plugs and and ignition coil and it seemed to do the trick, but i still feel its lackin a bit of power. not sure.
its a megane coupe phase 2

did he switch off the light after fixing it with plugs and coils.
if so maybe another coil is getting weak.
if you pull up the other two coils with the engine running .
actually one at a time, with the electrical connection on it and see if the engine dies a bit.if that happens for both of the old coils they are ok.
the reason i say to check this is because it is the ost common problem with your car.
when was the car last serviced also??
