Have used Word 2007 about twice so sketchy on detail :pac:

You should be able to format properties for bullets and numbering (try highlighting and right-clicking). Then set the spacing to something reasonable like 1 cm.

Otherwise, using a proper document layout, you might get away with section numbers but that's more effort!

I have tried to replicate the problem you are having and cant seem to.
Have you tried clicking on the reveal codes Pi Symbol or pressing Ctrl Shift 8
and checking for anything at the start of the line. you should just see the tab symbol of a right pointing arrow if theres anything else delete it.

    CCSL.

Right! Dug up Word to mess. It seems the font needs to be fairly big before you notice it.

    To fix:

    • click the arrow beside the numbering icon under the 'Home' tab
    • click on 'Define New Number Format'
    • change alignment to 'Right'
    • OK
