What's the lowest score you've come across? Played a match today where all 20 wickets fell for a combined 39 runs :eek::eek:

Wow thats low! What teams were involved? And what was the main cause, bad batting, good bowling, poor pitch, angry umpire???

The lowest score I have heard of in a senior match (in recent times) was 33 played 22. It was CYM versus Belvedere.

Rush 4ths vs Sandyford 4ths we played each other a couple of weeks ago in rush and managed about 340 between us. Bad shots were played but there was some good accurate bowling on a pitch that was keeping very low at times. Umpire was very good. Might have got angry if he'd been made to umpire in the rain again but it was just one of those things

that mat in marlay doesn't seem to favour big scores, little rat balls seem to scutter along the ground

They have plans in place to relay it as far as i know.It only seems to misbehave sometimes there were a combined 360 runs when we played there last year.

Yeah the mat was laid on some bad advice so it is being relayed next week, if the council stick to the plan, it was meant to have been done the week of the 10th, but the main man went on holidays!

Anyway last year Marlay yielded average scores of about 250 a game. Usually one team getting the lion share even with all the rain about.

I think the Rush boys travelled with quite a few young guys and new players and SCC 4ths is made up of about 6 new players, so we would expect the odd low score in Junior C this year.

I dont know about the other teams but we are struggling to get 11 out in all grades. Don't know if its holidays, injuries or the economic down turn!

We've played 2 matches and used 18 different players already. The side that played the first match was a very strong one and will push anyone in junior C. The side playing the second one had only 3 of the same players. Myself, the number 11 from the last match who became an opener for the second game and one of our 2 overseas players:rolleyes: thankfully all 3 are bowlers and all put in good performances.
Of the other 8 players 1 had never played before, 1 would be in the side as often as we can get him a 14 year old who was a regular for us last year. The rest were all young would be very much backup. Sandyford actually outscored us with the bat scoring 14 off the bat to our 8.
