Any one recommend a cheap dvd player that can play high-def 720 or 1080 divx or h264, mkv/mp4 files? Also has to have usb port and hdmi connectivity

You might be better looking for a Hard drive media player.
So far only I have found only a few Bluray players able to understand H264+Mpeg4 Video formats however the Samsung DVD DVD-1080P8 sees mpeg4 but I don't know about the H264
