If i wish to send this back under warrenty (i'm currently sending a request to wd about the warrenty as i'm out of the US they're unable to tell me from their site) Whats the deal on confidentiality of whats on the drive? If you're sending a hard drive back to Western Digital under warrantee (at least, that's what I go from your post), they will send you a new drive first so you can copy your data and then wipe the old one before you send it back.
