Hello there,I have a Macbook but it's a few years old now.
The hard drive is 60gb and I want to get a bigger one.
I was also of thinking of upgrading the cd drive to a dvd burner.
I was wondering if any boardsies had done anything similar and/or had any advice they could give me?

Having looked up online how tos I'm confident I can install the HD no problem,I haven't looked into the dvd drive yet though.
    Thanks :)

I'm very new to mac, you can copy the contents of your old HDD over to a larger HDD in a USB caddy with Carbon Copy Cloner and then fit this into your mac. You must also make sure that the replacement HDD is the same as the original ie IDE or SATA

Macs use Foxcom ribbon cables everywhere to connect hardware components to the logic board, these muse be taped in place amd are a lot more finicky to work with than PCs and upgrade components like DVD RW (Superdrives) are a lot more pricey than PC counterparts.
