Very important to get this car on an inspection ramp and tap the box section chassis rails(with a light hammer) running end to end to test?listen for internal rot. These thing rust form the inside out TERMINALLY, especially imports/uk cars

As already stated watch out for rust & more rust. Check the condition of the soft top and listen for timing chain noises. I'd personally avoid any Merc fitted with chrome wheel arch trims as these are a hidden rust trap.

    ...............I agree !

It seems cheap, worth a look but deffo inspect the sills and bulkhead area carefully and thoroughly.

These are lovely cars but rusty ones are scrap, you simply cannot fix bulkhead rust easily. If you see any bubbles then multiply the area of the bubble by 10 to give you an idea of what is under the paint.

Look at the areas where the wheels spray up water & mud and also the front panel where it meets the chassis legs.

The engines and boxes are bulletproof so just the usual checks apply.

Make sure it starts easily from hot and cold and that it idles without hunting.

    Good luck !
