Mrs bcirl03 was at Courtney Food Service in Clondalkin this afternoon and came back with a lot of good deals - http://www.courtneyfoodservice.com/ourmeat.htm

BBQ was promptly taken out tonight and Peppered Steaks where very tasty. Full freezer of meet for about €50. Also got a discount at the till as she bought a good few items.

    Recommend one drops by.

BTW don’t work there and no connection.

Where are they in Clondalkin? I can only see the Kimmage location on the website.

Went to the one in Kimmage yesterday. Freezer filled with steak, chicken breasts, coujons, mince and sausages for €40. Very good value imo compared to my usual meat shopping in any of the supermarkets. Had a lovely barbecue yesterday too. Would definately go back.

The shop in Clondalkin only opened around 3 months ago, from Clondalkin village direction heading past the Lock and Quay pub (called something else I think now!) towards Neilstown, take a right before the new bridge then another right at the 1st little industrial estate you see (think its Station Park industrial estate) go past thet entrance and down a little further on the left, you cant fail to miss it, Courtneys is next to Mr Liquidator and clearly signposted from the road.

Would reccommend courtneys also, large packs of chicken fillets for 5e, huge bag of chicken goujons (gorgeous!) for a 10e, large bags of 5 mince, (enough for 5 1lb portions nearly) for 10e and big bags of diced lamb and beef for 5e. Been shopping there for a while and keeps our family well fed!

lads is the meat of a good standard? if you fried off the mince meat in a pan is there a lot of fat coming off it.

are the chicken fillets pumped with water or they ok, bought a load in a butchers before (not this particular butcher, i hasten to add) and thought the meat was quite bad.

    thanks paddy

I'm somewhat fussy about my meat and find the chicken and mince diced beef/lamb to be excellent.

I did get fillet steak there before which wasnt so keen on and could just be my cooking but the ham joint wasnt so good either but cant fault the tried and tested meat that I'd get regularly.

They are a master crafts butcher (won an award for top sausage or something as well!) but chicken fillets good size and not full of water, and mince was lovely (but very fine)
