    Hey guys,
One of the things I am most proud of in my rugby career is winning a Junior and Senior Cup Schools Medal?
(Didn't achieve a whole lot after:pac: you know the craic college, booze, women)

Just wondering have many more achieved this ? Any of the pros?

Common enough I would think, a good team at Junior Cup often goes no to win the senior cup.

I would imagine that the vast majority of players in Leinster who have a Junior and Senior cup medal would come from Blackrock College as most other schools don't translate their Junior cup success into Senior cup

A lot of my ex school mates in galway Garbally college would but its only connacht so dosent matter right?

Having won 7 junior cups in 1990s and seven senior cups in 1990s many players would be recipeints of both of course small number of schools in connacht play rugby so no where near as prestigous as munster leinster or ulster

Yea I'd like to see a photo too!

Don't have either I'm afraid, coming from a non rugby playing "bogger" school!
Have Leinster Senior B Hurling Medal though, which is much more impressive!

dont say the medals are ****ty. theyve been the same medals given since the cup was inaugurated in the 1880s with absolutely no changes and they say "leinster schools junior/senior challenge cup" on them. theyre small and well designed. silver usually for the winner and bronze for the runner up although the winner can choose which set of medals they want. delighted to say i have the complete set of junior and senior school medals as well as clubs leinster senior cup which is the same medal. the schools senior cup medal is slightly bigger than the the junior cup medal.

That came from Google images though I think it's from 1913 so might be a little outdated. Looks like a nice medal to me, certainly better than any of the old round medals that seem to work for every rugby competition.

As for me, no. I didn't go to an A school. we had a rugby team but it was a mixture of those who played club rugby and really liked rugby, and those who wanted to miss class. That said we did pretty well considering we never trained, I have a runners up medal somewhere from a B competition.
