    Hi folks,

I'm thinking of getting a vw camper. I was hoping to get one from around 1969-1978 (year not price). I've been looking at them for a while but haven't been able to find one that suits.

Does anyone have any advice on what i should be looking for ie. price, body and engine condition, year.

    All help would appreciated

    also lookee here: http://krazykombis.com/blog/?page_id=32

most important things about an old camper: body work, body work and then body work again ..interior after that. An engine can almost always be rustled up from somewhere.

And then there would be rather deep pockets

Budget? There's one to suit everybody, but only if you can afford it. ;)

www.type2ireland.org is another forum that you should visit.

Oh and '72 was a transition year with pre '72s being more desirable right now, consider the early bays to have a little 'tax' added when comparing prices.

Personally I'd recommend a T3 (1979-1992) ...but nobody ever listens to me anyway :D
