Hey, I'm a bit confused about this, i'm 20 now, had retainers from about 11-12 years old maybe longer, I remember I was told I could need braces or my teeth may just grow into the proper position as I got older, so I opted not to get them and my teeth look fine now, no gaps. but is it late in life 8 years later for my teeth to be moving? I can feel my bottom teeth dipping in, in the middle like they're moving back and my molars on the right side can hurt sometimes and my cheek is constantly getting bitten when I eat. anyone else experience this?

Only if I got a filling , would ask the denist on this one could be an infection moving them down if there is pain?

oh I haven't got any fillings anyway, no pain at all, just when I bite my cheek!

Have you continued wearing your retainers? If not your teeth will gradually move. I'd suggest going to your dentist to ask for his advice, it could be a slight gum disease/infection.
