    Hello guys,

I have installed the latest version of AVG 8 but the update manager is failing to connect each time, I have to manually update myself. Does anyone know what I can do please?

    Thank you.!!

I've had that too. I was on my computer this morning before heading to work and it told me to download the new one AVG Anti-Virus 8.5 before the 30th April cause AVG Anti-Virus 8 will out of date but its crazy cause on the scout group's computer has AVG Anti-Virus 7.5 and hasn't asked for the new one yet to be downloaded

The AVG update servers can get quite busy with so many users. Try updating manually now and again: right-click icon in system try and click 'update now'. It will eventually work! :)

You can set AVG to use the backup server for updates
open AVG and go to tools - advanced options
then under update and URL move the backup server up the list to the top.
This normally fixes the problem. Try switching back in a week or two and see if the issue of overloading is gone. By the way 8.5 is the current version.

    :)
