I was driving over the M50 toll bridge at about 8:30 last night and saw a truck heading north bound with something odd on the back. As it got closer i was still struggling to make out what it was. As it passed it revealed itself to be a small grey Nazi army tank, did anyone else spot this or should i stay off the pills :D

I was heading south bound and as i said i couldn't figure out what it was until it was pretty much gone past so no chance to take any pics!

Looking on Wikipedia it seems to have been one of the Panzer tanks, this one looks most like the one i saw...

I'd imagine that charges have already been placed on the West link toll bridge to facilitate an easier retreat if necessary.

With a Gun like that, nobody wouyld ever cut you off again. Take road rage to the next level, that would.

Did you know Porsche designed the chassis for the mother of all WW2 tanks, the King Tiger?

PS: "Nazi" refers to the political party. The tank was presumably a Wehrmacht tank.

An English friend of mine was going to buy a tank a few years ago and bring it over here but then realised he'd probably be shot because it was during the troubles.

The tank you saw was probably Mary Harneys-she can't fit into an ordinary vehical now.......wonder if she'll submit it as an expense.........

I know I'm rather late posting but.............

It is a SdKfz 222 armoured car & it belongs to a group of reenactors based in the cork/Kerry region

as well as this they also own various German WW2 motorcycles & light vehicles, you can see pictures at their website

the big daddy of all tanks! they weighed 70 ton's but gave lots of trouble with wheel bearings and general running gear problem's a good few were deserted on the russian border and many more were destroyed due to running out of fuel or not been able to cross bridges.

Don't bother, the satnav will sound the retreat before you get to fire.
