Hi all, I'm wondering if someone out there can point me in the right direction. I'm looking to follow or get trainned up in a particular discipline - pagan of sorts , probably wiccan but am open. I have done a bit of shamanic training and love it. I have being reading on the subjects of magic and healing and all things methaphysical for the last eight or so years. I meditate, pray and journey regularly I use bach flower remedies, herbs and homeopathic remedies. I am very intrested in ressurecting and rehonouring the feminine. I have always been drawn to fire and the moon. I reckon I'm a witch but am lacking structured training, discipline or a tradition also a community. I'm living in Wexford and am wondering if anyone could recommend someone/coven to train under. cheers looking forward to replies

    Hi Odanata.

Well i dont know about Wexford but usually the best place to meet people like this is a moot. There is a list as a sticky on this forum:-) I am not sure if you are willing to travel but there are courses run by people in Dub for Witchcraft sometimes although i am not sure when the next one is.

I dont really know any for general paganism or general pagan training just the shamanism courses that you mentioned that you have done.

Meeting covens can be hard it takes time.

And it is always important that you yourself feel absolutely comfortable and you like trust and know the people that you will be working with well!

Never do anything that does not feel right!!

I had to ravel outside of Dublin for my training with my coven.

I am not sure about Wexford.

I am sure someone can help you though and going to the moots is a great way to meet others and get contacts.

I am seeking a trainer also - I've being "training" myself for quite a number of years now but I'm missing out and I'm not nearly disciplined enough. Can any one help or perhaps me in the right direction. I live in Dublin, and my whole heart is pointing to more learning. blessings. x.

I would suggest going along to the various moots and meet ups and getting to know people and see what they reccemend.

Thaedyal, thanks for responding - the only group I was familiar with was an fainne but I'm not sure if they still meet up - there was another coven I know has disbanded some years ago now - would it be possible to pm me a web address or email or a list of moots still operating in Dublin?
    most grateful.
