It's been a while since I've competed in the javelin, I'm getting back into it now, but when I competed my school bough my javelins, and now I've to venture out in to the big bad world and buy my own.

Anyone know where in Ireland I can buy them?

Try John Shields at AAI office, Neuff Sports in UK, or maybe Bart Rogers can advise on where you can pick up some almost "new" javelins.

Though you'd want to be serious about it before investing in your own. Any track clubs out your way that have a supply for training?

(There's lorry loads of them stored at Santry, just need the throwers...)

I'd be plenty serious about it, I just need to get me a javelin, it's the only bit missing!

Any suggestions as to the best spiked shoes for javelin? I forget what I had when I used to compete

I dont think you can go wrong with any of the major brands,Adidas have a good reputation, buy last years model or even 2-3 yrs models, specs dont change much just style, you'll save a few euros, John Buckley sports in Cork, Bourne Sports in UK, maybe ebay.
