    Insurance doesn't just depend on the car. The age and sex of the driver is a big factor, location of where the car is going to be kept and driven most is another factor.

    Op, the type of car you have is only one factor that an insurance company take into account when calculating your insurance premium. In other words a 1.0 litre Micra might cost you the same to insure as say a 1.3 Fiesta.

    You can't go wrong with a Fiesta. Recently I was discussing my old Fiesta with someone, then he told me about the one he had. Then someone else in the room told us he used to have one. It turned out that out of seven people in the room, six have had a Fiesta. And everyone loved them.
