Not sure if this is the right forum so pleae move if needs be....

Currently doing study for exams and I need some background music. I have been listening to 'The Field' and 'Ratatat' (the latter are brilliant I must say) - kinda chilled instrumental music with a beat is what I'm looking for. Looking for good background music to have on while I work, so mainly kinda relaxed stuff don't want any hardcore electro.

Any suggestions for me based on these guidelines? Cheers.

    Lemonjelly, Air, Kinobe, Zero 7

A lot of the slower stuff by Groove Armada is great to chill out to.

Also, check out the earlier Cafe Del Mar compilations and compilations by Chris Coco.

Ah now lads, don't start getting into sub genres and pigeon-holing. There's no need to complicate things, we all know what chill out means! :pac:

I do to, that's why I recommended the compilations, they have a mixture of both.

Ulrich Schnauss. Not so much the newest album, but 'A Strangely Isolated Place' and 'Far Away Trains Passing By' are two of my all-time favourite albums. Beautifully chilled electronic music, with a few upbeat tracks thrown in.
