does this mean he can go anywhere he likes in Wicklow? Nice one!

I think that means he'll be allowed to graze his sheep on common land. Baa!

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Yeah but he's spent about 5 years getting into character

He's actually spent time down there acting like a Wicklow person.

What dedication to his art !!

Yes, that's why Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks and Jim Carrey also live there.

Daniel Day Lewis given the freedom of Wicklow eh? Well at least he doesn't have to pay for it I guess.

    Artist exemption.

The artists tax exemption is worth FA these days. up to 250k a year. Hardly worth it if you get paid 10 million per movie.
He lives there because he is allowed to go about his business without any hassle. TV3 interviewed him at the ceremony today and he seems like a very disarming and modest individual. Not intense like his character roles at all. Said he llives in wicklow as he loves the peace and the nature.
I think he is a grand lad. :)

What all wicklow people knew, backed up stats

Now that Daniel has the freedom of wicklow, does that mean he is welcome to our women also? Like a "first night" situation :pac:
