Possibly, Late Late host to be named on the show tonight?

Just looked at Paddy Power. They have odds of 2/1 on that the new host will be named exclusively ON The Late Late Show. 6/4 if it is announced through another medium.

My guess is that Pat Kenny names and interviews the new host tonight. Any takers?

Meh, I'll wait for the thread here on Monday complaining about the shìt choice for the new host. It'll save me having to watch it.

Sheana 'vertigo' Keane to be named tonight EXCLUSIVELY as the new host on the roof garden of RTE. Blaithnaid pretending she is a pleasant Irish redhead in the background and not giving her the push over the edge. Actually, Miriam , Catholic Mother Of 8, or whatever it is FTW.

She is the dullest person imaginable. Sucks all warmth out of the room, like Fr Stone.

grrrr..! without wanting to go off topic, this show so annoys me. Like how they don't announce in the media etc who's on the show, eh hello..! this is 2009 not like 1980. Do they think this is going to attract viewers instead of doing the opposite! Yeah we'll all hear tomorrow if there was anyone slightly interesting or someone hopefully punching the head off Pat Kenny and we'll all record the relevant bits on Monday night!
It just needs to finish full stop and they should dream up a completely different format.
And don't get me started on Grainne Seoige. Why is her voice (and her sister's) so low these days. Did she swallow a pitch shifter or something...
    grrrr...
    rant over!

Wow....... they are now piping 'audience laughing' into it. Listen to them, the exact same laugh every time, bleeeeedin hell and I thought it could get no worse.

I'll give you 1000/1 on Blá and Sheana co-presenting.
or 2000/1 on Blá and Sheana co-presenting, and Trevor being the gimp at the front of the audience that tries to rouse them.

    John McGuinness on now.

Really scraping the bottom of the barrell. If you want to know my feelings on the man, look at the junior minister axed thread in Kilkenny City forum.

There are not enough expletives to describe the ignorance and arrogance of this man.

Yeah but you're a monk. I'm 32 and I watch it, but I wont if Gerry "fat bastard" Ryan gets it. New nickname I thought of there... I dunno just came to me off the top of my head..

Oh good god, that mud****ing idiot.

hmmmm.. odds on the Late Late Show host being named tonight? Not looking like it but you never know with Pat.

    Did I just dream that?

Was Darina Allen just encouraging people to bring the grandchildren round to grannies house? Not if Granpa's home Darina.

    Bizarre.

they should have sharon ni bheolain

i am sure she would be crap with her froggy voice and android personality

but if she wore some figure hugging clothes and low cut tops she would make up for it

Yeah, I have no respect for Darina's interviews because she has never addressed the elephant in the room.

Same as the Chris De Burgh interview on Tubridy last week where he never tackled the issue of the babysitter in the room.

Why should she address the actions of her husband?

Just thinking the same thing. No way I would leave my precious little darlings there if Grandpa was around.

Because she very publicy supported him and it is an issue that has seriously affected her public profile.

She is in the public idea, runs a public cookery course and is selling her wares to the nation. I think that entitles us to ask her the question. She would be better off is she just came out and tackled the issue.

She doesnt have to do anything and can go on interviews with the premise that there are no questions about her personal life, yet selectively chooses the parts of her personal life she wishes to mention to endear her to the nation as a loving grandmother.

Why is Ruby Wax on taking the piss out of the girl's designs? It's meant to be a serious competition and she's making a mockery of the whole thing.

Supporting her husband does not equal supporting his actions. The only benefit to the public of her commenting would be having their curiousity served.

Put yourself in her shoes, he is the father of her children, grandfather of her grandchildren.

How does it take away from her being a loving grandmother?

Only the Late Late Show could go from Annie to a Mass Murderer.

You're gotta love it. Alan Partridgesque

Look I feel sorry for the woman I really do, but I think she should address the issue. That's all. You can say that it is none of the public's business, but I think she should explain her story and why she stood by him etc etc.

Well done to that young girl for singing on without a batted eyelid after the dog got stage fright... Maybe the dog saw Blá in the wings and got scared?

How I wish we had a show as clever as Alan Partridge.

Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,... " as she skips out of the studio

I was wondering if they would mention the case of Manuela Riedo. I think the legal profession and those who make the law in this country all have blood on their hands in this case...

This is where the Late Late show excels, bringing important issues like this to the attention of the nation, have to say I'm sick listening to how Ireland treats these killers, can only imagine what its like for the victims families.

I don't know a huge amount about these things, but considering that song is from The Sound of Music, that would surely make her the sh*ttest Annie ever.

( Or possibly the best, depending on how gruesome you think the actual songs from Annie are. )

i find that when it comes to the serious side of the show pat is generally on the ball, but during the light entertainment part it's painful

ffs I know what show it's from. I was just trying to exaggerate the humourously contrasting segway between
    a) an act with one who is an aspiring actress with naive thoughts of "raindrops and roses" and all of the optimistic expectations of life that instilled in one so young from playing all these "rags to riches" type characters.
    b) a discussion about one who cuts up people and buries them under the stairs.

I guess he isnt gonna name the new host tonight then.

how is he ignorant exactly? I remember him saying on the show that mary coughlan(Mary Palin) was not up to the job as tanaiste and you know what i think this man is talking sense. She is a disaster. She was the one that probably sacked him for his statements also.

And relating to the show I thought Ruby Wax was a pain in the h**e, jez you'd think she would show a bit of respect to the designers.

Dammit! they were on Segways and I wasn't watching?

Between the Segways and the songs from The Sound of Music, That "Annie" is gonna be a classic up there with Hitler on Ice and Jews in Space.

2 tickets for opening night here. Defo.

And it was the same for that Persil competition two years ago as well. I remember it cos a girl I used to go to primary school with won it. That same nite Ruby Wax was on making stupid comments about the designs as well. Some of the comments she made about the models (who all seemed to be of foreign origin) could have been taken as being racist.
