I am just wondering why we dont recognise, as a country, the events which occurred during the 24th of April to the 30th of April 1916?

It seems to me to come and go with very little recognition for what actually happened and the sacrifices which were made.

I try to recognise it in my own way but feel as if I am the only one!

And come to think of it why isnt the 24th of April celebrated as a National Day, lots of countries have national days. Is it because we didnt fully get independence?
