    Hi Guys,
Would anybody be interested in getting a Group together with a like minded Interest In Classic Renaults/Peugeot/Citroens etc.
I dont think any of these marques are represented in this country by a Classic Club---I'm not talking anything too serious to start with.:D

Yeah sure I wouldn't mind. There are truck loads of Citroens around the place, so maybe there would be it would be worth it, even if there are not so many Renault / Peugeot enthusiasts

Id say theres enough francophiles out there to make something of this.

Ooh! you can be full sure that there is a lot of franophiles out there especially the eccentric ones like me! I would love to see a decent French group get established in the country. If I were to wild guess Renaults on the road I would say that there would be a good representation accross a lot of the model range. However getting them out could be a little tricky.

Anyone got an irish Renault 14?

Be surprised if one survived here, given there are only 32 left in the UK and you'd be lucky to come across one in France.

A guy rang me one day,,saying he knew where there was a 14 & Fuego in a shed and asking if I was interested. I said that I was,at which point he said that somebody would contact me in his own time when ever he decided to sell them----weird or what:D

Must be connected to the KGB:cool:

OK--Lets get this show on the road.Lets organise a meet for lets say pre 1990 cars,
If everybody who is interested,PM me with your details, name, where you live, and what car you can bring, then lets try and pick a venue suitable to everyone, let it be a hotel car park, retail park etc.
Hopefully we are all a bit past the boy racer stage,so we don't want to attract the attention of local authorities. There is another Club called FCI (French Cars Ireland)which seem to cater for the younger enthusiast(Clio,Saxo,106,BIG SPOILER,Bigger alloys etc. ETC).This meet will NOT be for that type of club.
I know this will not be suitable to everybody. I figure that nobody should need to travel more than 1 hour.

So Clonmel,Cahir,Cashel,Portlaoise etc etc should be suitable--whatever.
Let me know you views. I am not in this for personal glorification as can happen in so many clubs. This should just be a get together of Like minded people with a common interest.
My friend is into Peugeots, and he has about ten and is wiling to help also .

Nice motor, I thought originally is was just a stock Photo to promote the meet.
Looks in great condition, does the Peugeot belong to his mate then?
Which then begs the question who owns the CX?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 67 ✭✭Pagoda113

No real interest in buyng one but are there any Renault 30's left around these days ? I was looking at a couple of other cars last weekend and I saw the remains of an original Irish R 20 and it just sparked my curiosity...
They were a really quick car for their time from what I remember of them..

I pulled the pics for the Peugeot & CX from the following site
    www.delest.nl.
    They are dealers in Holland

Nice site, where are you based yourself?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 586 ✭✭✭johnf2020

    KILKENNY:rolleyes:

Some of the other guys are Cork,so I was trying to pick somewhere in the middle hence Portlaoise/Kilkenny.
    All other options considered.
Unless we get up to 10, I;m not sure if worth doing.
