Hey Im travelling to South America in a few weeks. Bolivia Peru Ecuador Colombia Venezuela I think. Unfortunately I have a relatively serious bowel condition (which is flaring up at the minute) so need to take precautions before I go. I was hoping somebody might have suggestions or advice on the best type of travel…

I'll be booking with World Nomads myself. It seems comprehensive, is relatively cheap and you can insure items like iPods, laptops etc. Whether they pay out if they get nicked is another matter. I have a fundamental mistrust of every insurance company under the sun.
