K7 V X 1.1 .T This is the digital revoution. This is sterile. This is numbers and digits. This is emotion in modern times. This is spellchecked hearts and plastic fingers. This is citated love and synthetic touch. This is a 5. K. That was a K.

Would've been excellent lyrics for a Kraftwerk song back in the day!

I take your point Luke and I generally take a dislike to all that n00b stuff, but just on a tangential point, do you really think that, of themselves, letters have much more charisma than numbers? I think there's just that little bit more mystique to numbers (albeit maybe a cold, futuristic mystique!)?

I must also admit that one of the best lyrics I've heard in a while (from the song "Tricky Tricky" off Royksopp's new album Junior) may be clouding my judgment and making me favour numbers at the moment: "6 afraid of 7 cos 7 ate 9." ;)

    Good eh! :D:D:D:D

I think there's greater mystique in numbers and you cant dumb them down or change their natural order or shorthand them and confuse them.

The main point being with modern technology people are afraid to trust their own instincts and are always needing 'proof' and 'back-up' and referneces from people they deem to be in the know... also people can be too quick in writing something to get a message across NOW instead of getting the message across in a better way.

I used to listen to kraftwerk a few years ago but not in awhile. while royskopp are one of my fave bands.

If you say a word, not a verb, over and over and over and get it into a rhythm you can find a number to follow it in rhythm.
