Green Slimey stuff

    Hi,

Quick question. There is a green slimy substance appearing on top of the soil in some of the pots in my cold frame. I figured that I had probably been over-watering and not giving them enough ventilation so I have the top partially opened now on the frame and cutting back / out on the watering for the time being.

Should I treat this green stuff or just leave it? Do you think my veggies will die? Couple of the sunflowers grown from seed have died already.

It's my first time 'growing my own' and I really hope I don't have to start all over again.

    Thanks
    Cathy
