It might be of interest to viewers here to know that stand-up comedian and writer Michael Downey has a play called "Answers" running at the New Theatre, East Essex St in Temple Bar until May 2nd.

Michael's stand-up career was interrupted by a serious car accident. "Answers" was written during his recovery from extensive injury. Far from being downbeat, "Answers" is a comedy about a team at a pub quiz.

I've seen it, that's why I'm mentioning it. It may not win a Tony or an Evening Standard Award but it is a good laugh, something not to be sneezed at in this climate.

I think new theatre groups should be encouraged and deserve our support.
