Edit: Doesn't seem to like the Youtube script, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHFCZBKfugg direct link

Looks semi-decent, has favourable reviews too. Reminds me a bit of V for Vengence from the trailer. Trailer Music very similar to 28 Days Later too..

I am gonna grab this myself...it's NOT a Watchmen/VforV movie though...people who've seen it say the trailer is highly misleading, budget is only £5 million, Jonathon Ross panned it...the gothic/Watchmen type scenes are supposed to be brief, like a delusional flashback sequence...he escapes from a mental hospital.

Guys, i HIGHLY recomend this movie!....just seen it. Frist time director/writer has pulled off a visually arrestings and thought provoking movie. Don't listen to reviews or that idiot Jonathon Ross...he's a moron, the kinda guy who'll worship a movie like Wolverine.

It's obvious the morons who were expecting a Watchmen/masked vigalante/action movie never gaveit a chance. All the Meanwhile City scenes are stunning, i have no doubt the director was influenced by graphic novels/Watchmen/Rorshach...but thats just a superficial comparison.

The score for this movie is first class, the £5 million budget clearly went into the CGI/Matte graphic work, but the visual style/production design and cosyums and overall feel is amazing, it feels like two movies in one. While the main story was genuinely good you NEED to watch the whole thing.

If you sat down for the first 50 mins you'd be confused as hell and thing it was a disjointed mash of unrelated stories, true me...the pieces fall into place and all but save a small few answers will have been explained by the end.

But, i want to see a second movie, a movie based around Meanwhile City...it's such a visual feast, there is definately a big budget/Watchmen/Graphic type novel and story just waiting to be made!

You NEED you use your brain for this movie, pay attention....it's a movie that requires at leaset a second viewing to totally get it, it's an intelectual movie, i don't want to give spoilers for you.

It just left e wanting to see a movie just based around the masked vigilante and Meanwhile City though!,

except for your own ? :)

The film was marketed as a Watchmen/masked vigalante/action movie, calling people whom watched the trailer and rightly expected a film of similar tone can hardly be called morans

    it's an intelectual movie

:D:D:D the movie while having an interesting premise was executed terribly, the dialogue was laboured, the direction ponderous and the majority of the acting just woeful, although my review should of course be ignored, isnt that right richie

watched it at the cinema (it only had a week long run).
Liked Meanwhile City, agree it could be developed in another movie.
It is more like Pan's Labyrinth than Watchmen

saw it back at the Jameson film festival and didnt like it.

Trying to remember why now, I think that sums it up really, its very unremarkable and forgetable.

A freind o mine said it was TERRIBLE, never came to the cinema down in Tralee unfortunatly so i cant give my own two cents bar the fact the trailer looked unreal. Sad to hear that the film is being slated.

went back and looked up my quick comment from the film festival.
Today I watched Franklyn which I found to be also quite poor, similar issue with I Sell the Dead, there were some nice ideas that were not developed on. Overall though it felt a bit messy in its storytelling and the characters were all very unlikeable.

Hence why only you can see Dollhouse for its shakespearean quality while everyone else pans it.

What does that tell you?...clearly alot of people lack the intelligence to think deep enough to truely get things.
