Saw this on the Nintendo DS for under €20. To me it looks kind of like a cross between DoW and Chaos Gate (turn based strategy from the 90s). I'ma fan of both games.
Just wondering has anyone on this forum played it and if so would they recomend it at that price to a fan of this style of game?

Not played it personally, but my friend reckons its a decent game, and at 20 quid its not too bad either

I played through it. Funny game.. at first I didn't like it. It looks like ass on the DS (compared to PSP), it's shorter, it seemed shallow at first.. but I ended up really enjoying it. I don't know why I persevered past the first level or two but I'm glad I did.

The controls are good. There is destructible terrain so your units are never 100% safe behind cover. The games implementation of action points is sound, if you carry heavy/ weapons, you can't move around as freely and need to spend lots of action points to use powerful weapons. Accuracy of a shot can be improved at the cost of AP. A tactic I liked using was having a spotter unit near the enemy, kept safe as best as possible and firing rockets across the map using all my AP on accuracy, barely moving my units at all. There is quite a lot to it in the end. Overall great range of units available to use from mission to mission (although you never get to choose what you use). Unit audio is decent too. Kill a chaos space marine and he shouts "It cannot be! Arrgh!" Some of the missions are damn tough and very satisfying to complete.

Wow, rambling post, I need to go to sleep.

I liked it, 20 euro seems a decent price.

^^ Agreed. At the start (without knowing how to play at all) I didn't think it was going to be great, but now that I'm into it it's awesome.

The graphics on the PSP are very impressive, there's also a great variety of customisation so you can tackle mission in various ways to try get a higher score.

Tried multiplayer but noone was online unfortunately.

I'll let someone have my other copy for €5 is they like.
