Anyone know if there are any Rugby games on the way or are all the franchises dead?

Last one was probably EA Rugby 08 and I thought it was pretty good.

The last EA one was decent. Not great, but certainly better than the older ones.

TBH, after having a go with Blackout Rugby, I would love a rugby managment sim in the vein of LMA or Championship Manager. That would be awesome.

Ya a Mangament game would be great, it needs to be considerably better than blackout though. Unless you completely emerse yourself in the game and remember every stat for every player and game it's impossible.

There needs to a different layers of info to allow the casual player to succeed, the same way you can with Football Manager, you can graudally ease yourself into the stats.

I agree completely, the learning curve for such a game couldn't be too steep.

Surely the people at Sega could tweak Football Mangager a bit to turn it into a rugby game, change the stats and stuff......It's probably more complicated than that.:P

There's Pro Rugby Manager 2, good but dated.

Amazing a game with no "knock ons" could be so good. I still have been known to play it. Almost 15 years after it first appeared!

SI (guys who make FM (once upon a time CM) said that a few of their staff had always wanted to make a rugby game, but there wasn't enough interest to justify the costs. :(

Tis a pc version. Rather than PS, and I'm not arsed setting up a DOS emulator. Once exams are over that might change. :p

I have Pro Rugby Manager 2. It wasn't bad but it gets worse after playing a couple of seasons. I seem to remember loads of top players being released from clubs and teams like Toulouse being diminished. Now if Sports Interactive would just make a rugby management game. That would be awesome.

I have "acquired" PRM 1 and its all over the place, there's actually sweet f*ck all to do. You pick your team and either auto resolve or go to the game yourself where all you end up doing is telling whoever has the ball to pass to X and that's it. Now skill required. What's worse is certain teams.......well okay just Bath are unstoppable. You could have the best league team and you'd still never beat them for no apparent reason!

Anyone ever been able to download Jonah Lomu Rugby off the net in like a bittorent or even a site that you can play it on. I know you can dowload a lot of the old sega mega drive games to your pc.
