    Is it just me or has anybody else noticed that their "Oh So Meaty" range feel a hell of a lot lighter in recent weeks. I wish i had an old pack to compare but there is a definate change. So much so my little lady will not touch them now.

    most sachets of cat food are 100grms but a few are only 85 grms;
    people often assume they're all the same and so don't check the weight;
    an easy error to make;
    i know, cos its happened to me.

    only 3, lucky you;
    my wife has 6 at the moment, some we rescued from the animal shelter and others we took in as strays, some of which had been abandoned by 'renters' who'd moved;
    as we're dependent on social welfare disability benefit its a strain on our meagre resources so bargain alerts like this are a great boost;
    i have to travel to galway tomorrow so hope to buy at least 20 boxes;
    our daughter was in enniskillen a fortnight ago and the boxes of whiskas and felix were less than €4 and the whiskas and go-cat dry food was about €4.50;
    by the way. if anyone needs pet medication i've done a lot of research online so i know where the best bargains are;
    i can post the information here if requested.

    They are doing a similar offer in Supervalu. Buy one box of Whiskas pouches, get one free.

    And my local branch are flogging off Ginger Nut biscuits too, at 5 packs for €1. Nyom nyom.

    our daughter was in enniskillen
    there's a pet food place across the road from Iceland in Enniskillen where they have the larger bags of cat food

    is it a pet shop?
    i tried contacting the jollyes pet shop through their uk head office but haven't received a reply;
    i'm looking for fish food for my pondfish and some other items, eg replacement uv bulb, anti-algae treatment, etc

    just had a quick look in there for cat food, think it's supplies not a pet shop with animals, it's accessed via the car park for the bus crowd, as you're coming out of iceland, it's across the road to the right hand side

    This is a great deal when combined with the pigsback coupon of €1 per box. Bought 10 boxes earlier this week accompanied by 10 pigsback vouchers. Vouchers do not have the "not to be combined with any other offer" on them they do note - "one per purchase". To me this means if I purchase 1 box, I can use only 1 voucher, if I purchase 2 boxes I can use 2 vouchers. This is how it worked for me in Dunnes Stores in Tullamore.

    Original price 4.88 10 x 4.88 = €48.80
    1/2 Price 2.44 10 x 2.44 = €24.40
    €1 pigsback voucher 10 x 1 = €10.00

    Price Paid for 10 boxes = €14.40

    Total Saving €34.40 Not Bad !

    ps; This supply will do me for months as the cat only gets cat food when there is nothing else available. It will be handy when we are on summer holidays and will be leaving food for somebody else to feed her.

    I saw these in Dunnes, good offer, but even with the vouchers, Lidl Coshida cat food is cheaper per gram:

    €2.44 minus €1 voucher = €1.44 for 12 x 100g sachets
    1200g divided by €1.44 = 0.0012c
    0.0012c x 415g (each can of Coshida) = 50c

    Actually price of a can of Lidl Coshida 47c, so the equivalent amount of Lidl cat food is still cheaper by 3c.

    Most stuff is cheaper than Whiskas, but don't you know that some cats are partial to posh nosh and will turn their noses up at some offerings

    My cat is fussy and she loves Coshida cat food.
