    hi all
all in our office have been put on 3 day weeks. now the 3 days are prob up for grabs. what 3 days would you pick and why. i need to pick up extra income from the other 2 days. initially i would assume mon.tues.wed are the days to work keeping thur.fri with weekend for getting extra work but maybe someone has had experience that says most part time jobs are for early on in week or whatever. are there diff days that have an impact on any welfare entitlements i may be able to get etc.

its completely new to me, have worked solidly since leaving college in early 90's... not streetwise when it comes to welfare etc.

    thanks

Personally Id prefer to go with mon tues wed,get the working days over and done with. You could do bar work or whatever then for the other four days.

if it is office work you should pick mon, tue, wed as on Bank holidays you could have the monday off too and still get paid for it?

I agree with Frag420 plus if your looking for parttime work it would be good to have Friday and Monday off, but that of course depends on the type of work you are after!

I had a friend who was offered a 3 day week and she asked me the same question you are (what days to pick).

I asked her if she got paid for bank holidays when she was on the 5 day week and she said she got the BH off and got paid for it. So I suggested she work Mon, tue & wed so when there were BH's she would only work 2 days a week but get paid for the 3. It is working for her - might be something you could look into??

Also if you are looking for part time work in pubs/hotels/restaurants etc they pay extra for BHs so this might work to your advantage??

    Just a thought
