    Scientist have discovered another two gaps in the fossil record, one either side of this guy ;)

    Initial research suggests that Puijila darwini is a "missing link" in the evolution of the group that today includes seals, sea lions, and the walrus.

    Most interesting features are probably that it was a Fresh water dweller with webbed feet instead of the flippers, and equaly adept at both swimming and walking on land.
