Have NCT booked for tomorrow and still waiting for insurance disc even though all paid. Tax is a month out of date.
    Will this be a problem?

    Actually, it's not.

If you trailer a car to the centre, same thing.

P.S. I see their site is still fubar'd......

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I nct'd my last car with no tax without a problem and brought a friends car for its nct with no tax or an insurance disc(it was insured but only a temp transfer so no disc) and both cars passed no problem.

AFAIK you're supposed to have an NCT cert before you can tax the car - in which case, needing tax to get the NCT done could be a bit of a problem! (Although nothing would surprise me in this country...)

    What do you think?

Why would he ask if he knew?

Why would you answer if you were wrong?

at one stage you needed the nct cert to tax the car but not anymore from last week if you get caught driving a car without a valid nct cert you will get 5 points its only a money racket
