    Hey Guys,

I need to drive into work tomorrow so that I can head elsewhere over the far side of the city (Cabra) in a hurry in the early evening.

Usually if I drive into town I head into the car-park at the back of the royal college of surgeons, but I don't fancy paying per-hour for the whole day. Do any car parks in the south city centre (I work in and around Temple Bar/Dame St. area) have per-day charges?

Maybe the ones on Arran quay or off Thomas Street. I think they advertise to commuters as I am sure I have seen all-day price signs...

There's a number of streets very close to Connolly station such as Buckingham St. (off Amiens St.) where there is no pay parking and it is free to park - which is unusual for such a city centre location. That could be an option if your up for an extra couple of minuites walk.

You also have the Phoenix Park which is free also. You could pay for the Luas at Heuston into town.

Thats the only places I can think of and they are on the right side of the city for going to Cabra.

Didn't know this, nice one! I'd imagine they fill up quite quick however?

Is there anywhere similar in Dublin 2?

Quite a few but you won't get the majority of people shouting about it.

Ok depending on what early evening means (ie I would say not 5.30) but you could cross the Liffey at Christchurch and it is a handy run straight into Phibsboro then turn a left at Doyles corner and you're in Cabra in a jiffy with loads of free parking.

just a suggestion but why not park in cabra(its free) and get the bus into work and back to cabra. Cabra is has a great many bus services that go into town and are v. regular. Cheaper than paying for parking
