Anybody know if there's any plans by RTE to send Hector and Risteard to South Africa like they did with the New Zealand tour??

Think it was actually TV3 which funded it last time.

I've heard that they are looking at going again this time but are trying to find ways of funding it themselves.

Out of interest will the Lions matches only be on Sky? Are RTE or TV3 going to show any highlights? S4C (available FTA via a dish and also via an aerial for some in Eastern parts of the country) did have highlights of tests on 2001 Australian tour. Are they going to show any highlights this time?

Unless he gets chased by real Lions, now that would be funny

THE FOLLOWING VIDEO CONTAINS SCENES THAT SOME VIEWERS MAY FIND DISTURBING

Is he not a bit of a jinx ....? :D

The 2 specials he's done have resulted in absolute disasters for the teams he's covered.

Take away his passport ...... ;)

More concerned if there is going to be a Living With The Lions DVD again. Watched the 97 one again on the run up to the announcement and it is just brilliant.

Please, please no!!! No more Professional Paddies running around the place after the poor Lions....Both those guys should be put in a very small room, securely padlocked a month prior to the tour and only let out a month after...if ever...

Oh pease no!! Sending someone over to follow the lions who knows as much about rugby as my left nut makes for cringeworthy viewing. Stick to the nags Hector....

Maybe a warning before posting a link to that video? Sorry, but I am an animal lover and that video is sick.

Well it's a no, TV3 won't be sending them off AFIAK.

But I've heard they will if they can fund it independently.

Best ive ever seen anyway. The 2001 version is OK but just didnt live up to 97 and is very heavily edited apparently as everyone thought Graham Henry was a complete cock.

Just discovered that S4C will be covering highlights of the Lions tour including 3 tests and provincial matches. See - http://www.s4c.co.uk/e_press_level2.shtml?id=242
