Jack Cardiff dies at 94

    One of the all time greats of cinematography Jack Cardiff has died at the grand age of 94. He lit some of the finest film made in Britain including Black Black Narcissus, A Matter of Life and Death for Pressburger & Powell plus The African Queen, War and Peace and the Conan films. He also directed several flicks as a sideline including Sons and Lovers, Young Cassidy, Dark of the Sun, The Mutations.

    Young Cassidy was filmed in Dublin and is worth a look to see the city back in the '60s in colour.
