    just wondering does anyone know if a student finishing college in a few weeks is entitled to claim job seekers allowance while looking for a job?

    Yes, you have to get a letter from college stating you are finished college.If you are under 24 and live at home, you will be means-tested on your parents income. If you live with your partner , you will be means-tested on their income.

    If you are under 24 and living at home, but have enough contributions for jobseekers benefit, you get that automatically right?

    true, jobseekers benefit is not means-tested.
