    Hey.

I know very little about bikes and I'm looking for a new mountain bike for less than 350euro, Apparently Trek are a good brand, I went to Duff cycles today but he wanted 440 for a trek 3700. I'm not sure if thats good or not. Also, I am 6ft 1, Is a 19.5 inch frame too small for me? or do I need to get a bigger one? Anyone any ideas where I can pick up a cheap one under 350?

What are you planning on doing with the mountain bike ?

Generally speaking a mountain bike under 350 is unlikely to stand up to off-road riding, while if you aren't going to take it off-road you should not be looking at a mountain bike (a hybrid makes more sense.) Entry-level hybrids start around the 350 mark and there are several decent ones from the likes of Giant, Dawes or Trek. If you want it for trail riding you probably need to up your budget.
