hi everyone - am taking the lazy route here (instead of going through all the previous posts) and am asking if anyone here has been trying for a baby in their late 30's/ early 40's?! Particularly if you have not had a baby already - I am approaching my 38th birthday, and having focused on everything else the last few years, am now at a panic that I've blown my opportunities - I should also mention a 20 year eating disorder which I have come out of - I am at a loss as to who to see as regards getting my fertility levels checked etc etc - is there such a thing as a pre-pregnancy medical where everything is checked? Or should I just go see a normal GP?
    Thanks everyone....

Definitely your GP should be your first port of call. He / she will give you a referral if needs be. I'm not your age but I have a friend who had a child naturally at 42 without much hassle and is now pregnant with a second, so it's definitely do-able!
