Firstly, while sterling is weak, booking in sterling will save you money. There is a further 12 percent off with the following code, tested and working today.

Code (to add in promotional code box on website) is V780

    http://www.stenaline.co.uk/ferry/

Hope this is of some use and it isn't the millionth time its been posted.

I have used that code and also the one in this thread I set up http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055421629&highlight=stenaline
Definitely agree with using the sterling site!

Sorry didn't see your thread DaveMR, I think your example makes it clear just how much you can save with UK site and code.

That V780 code is quoted in the AxaPlus goodies booklet - but it seems Stena don't ask for any proof of Axa insurance when you pay - so the code should be good for a few months at least as the Axa booklet doesn't quote any expiry date. Interesting point about using the co.uk site to get a better sterling/euro rate - I must do that next time.

As well as the axa code , I've used code a158b as well. I think that takes 15% off. But havent used it this year though. So not 100% sure if it still works. The axa one is still working

They stopped using this code as so many people were using it.

The cheapest way to get the ferry now is with Irish Ferries, 20% off with there frequent traveller scheme.

You gotta register at there website, then when you've made 3 return trips you can claim 20% back, i'm just about to make my 4th trip since i've been on the scheme, average trip costs me 250euro, so after this one i'll claim and get 200euro in Irish Ferries credit back, more or less a free trip.

Ya can also get previous trips added onto the account

    Hi,
A778 worked fine on economy, A780 and V178 failed. Suspect they are connected to flexi/premium tariffs.
