Not sure how much of a bargain alert this is but we went last year and it was great craic:

http://www.tasteticketing.com/Booking.asp?Event=Dublin enter code TASTE25 gets you 2 standard tickets for 25 euro.
How does this event work, that price is for entry only right, how much does it cost to actually eat something, did you go in the evening or during the day? Also wheres the Iveagh gardens in Dublin? Cheers

Iveagh Gardens are behind the National Concert Hall. You enter them via Hatch Street which is the street that connects Earlsfort Terrace to Harcourt Street (Deloitte are on the corner with a big brown building).

The price is for entry only. Half of the stuff is free and just handed to you as you mill about, and then some of the restaurants sell their food and it's around a fiver for a small enough portion but it was good. So you could for example pay in and just eat the free stuff or you could buy, I spent €7 last year and we had a good time.

Iveagh gardens is a great venue too but if it rained I'd say it would be a messy affair.

Cheers for that, think I'll buy a few tickets....

Anyone know if it's baby-friendly? I'm not looking for free gourmet milk or a Rachel-Allens-head-shaped rattle, but if the missus and I can't wander around with a pram there's not much point going :(

Went last year. Decent event, but pricey. It was sunny though, as said above if it rained I don't think it'd be much fun.

Went last year, pretty sure people were paying at the door. You can also buy their version of Disney Dollars at the door or from vendors inside. The weather does play a huge part, would have been miserable if it were raining. But it wasn't.

To answer my own question from a year ago, it's baby friendly - you can push a buggy around the place easy enough, there's plenty of places to stop and feed a baba. Can't remember what the story was with changing her though. That's because it was a long time ago, not because we went to the beer tasting course (and brought her along. I'm such a great dad :) )
