If they had any sense surely they should have done this rather than the whole airplane incident!

As, it happens, the United States has a big enough stockpile of smallpox vaccine to vaccinate everyone in the United States.

I'm sure if it got here our out of date iodine tablet would be effective against smallpox too. Be as good for that as it would be for a neuclar disaster anyhow I'd imagine.
