Well it was one of the jobs I'd been planning on doing since I first got my frame (about 2 years now) and I have to say, I'm so glad I did! Much smoother to pedal, my old BB wobbled a bit, and was generally worn out! Best 25 yoyo's I ever spent (dunno if I even needed the tool though) but it's finally done!

Only problem is, I got a 127mm axle, and my chainline's still off, I conquered building my back wheel before removing a bottom bracket, so it's not dished or anything.. I'm planning on tying and possibley soldering my spoke so it's not going anywhere apart from true.

Another question, the reason I made this thread is, when I had my BB out, I saw the back of the rivet holding the plastic guide for my old gears (oh yeh, it's a fixie conversion Raleigh) and so I carefully drilled it out and removed it. I fitted the new BB and took it for a spin. Everything feels fine, just have to fine tune the C/L.. But, should I try and fill/block/rustproof the hole that's there now? Or will it be okay? I got a sealed BB to try and keep the gunk/grime out..

    Cheers!
